Meranti @Novotel Bogor

Classic sundanese style of restaurant with 3 different kinds of seating layout. They have the indoor air-conditioned room with high ceiling and simple old-fashioned chandelier hanging low. Not up to my preference, since it was too dark (it was so dimmed...my nearsighted hubby couldn't read anything). There is also Bale Bengong, the limited 'lesehan' style seating...looks comfy enough to have your meals in a leisure pace, just sitting and talking and eating.

But we chose the outdoor dining seating which looks pretty good as well. Lined up perfectly in U shape, surrounding the open area for live performance. We had big trees, shading us on the other side, where we got cool breeze from the mountain.

They have various menus, from Indonesian, Asian, some pasta and western dishes. Normally they offer buffee, however on that day, they didn't. So we were having an ala carte. I chose Poach Salmon Fillet while my hubby went Indonesian with Gurame goreng. It took some times (around 30mins) for the kitchen to prepare the dishes, but they gave us some breads for appetizer. The salmon was big, with mash potato, absolutely perfect for my empty stomach. The Gurame was just like the normal deep-fried fish, nothing special here. My girls chose mini pancake with ice cream and grilled chicken breast with boiled broccoli and french fries. Looked and tasted good, but the grilled chicken was a bit hard to chew.

Anyway, we enjoyed our lunch...we forgot the time and just sitting there, enjoying the breeze stroking our skin. Ehm...superlicious! This is what I called dining with style. *grinning*
