Galaxy Macau

The wishing crystals

Galaxy (20mins drive from Macau ferry terminal) can be considered as one of the biggest casinos in Macau. It’s a vast complex with 3 different hotels, Galaxy Macau, The Okura Hotel, and The Banyan Tree. Beside those 3 hotels, Galaxy offers numerous casinos scattered around as well as branded shops. Foodcourt (it’s on a different level compared to foodcourt @Jkt) and restaurants are open until midnite, to satisfy the hungry gamblers or visitors (they even have McD inside here, too bad it’s not open in the morning). The building itself is pretty impressive, highrise towers in gold color.
The rooftop swimming pool
The check-in/check-out service was really fast (considering the number of guests) and excellent. The guest hosts (pretty and tall ladies in sexy dress) are more than willing to help you, not to mention the ready-to-serve-you bellboys. The room itself was big with 2 king-size beds, a working table with several comfy chairs (who is going to work here anyway), big-flat-screen tv, ipod dock and few things to make your life easy during your stay here (coffee/tea maker, iron with its table, hairdryer, safe deposit box, and a fridge).  The bathroom is equipped with a complete toiletries set, bathtub, shower cubicle and toilet. Overall, it was clean and not-overly-decorated room.
The rooftop garden
Like any other big casinos here, Galaxy has its own attractions, like the wishing crystals (big colorful crystals) which can sing whenever you wave your hand on all of its sensors (I tried it twice and failed…didn’t know why the crystals didn’t resonate itself with me LOL). It has a water fountain show every few hours in the main lobby which will show a very big diamond hidden by the fountain (quite a show, I should say). It has a very big rooftop garden (I love those) and a rooftop pool with wave and white sand (could I expect more?). Oh, did I mention the sauna and spa? It also has a kids club (too bad, you gotta pay for entry) which is similar with soft-playground here @Jkt.

Beside free wifi (not only for hotel guests but also for visitor…awesome), Galaxy also offers free shuttle bus (with 15mins interval) to ferry terminal or airport or other casinos. In short, Galaxy is a great place to stay @Macau
