Taman Budaya Nusantara - Sentul

It's not our first time here, perhaps the third or fourth time already. Sentul is a perfect location for short weekend escape. The traffic is ok, not too far from Jkt and there is lots of greenery here, as well as good food too :-) It's easy to reach, just exit at Sentul City then turn left. Go straight for about 3-4km until you see the signage.

Moulding the basic shape of the ceramic

Use available pattern to create ceramic ornaments

TADA...my girls' creations...cannot be brought home yet

The final result after firing and colouring

I like this place because it's educative, a place where my girls can learn while playing and having fun, with price starting from 25k above per pax and per activity. They have painting on either tshirt, bag, umbrella, or any other cloth. They have the patterns that we can choose and for children, the staff will help outline the drawing so the children can colour and paint it. Another activity that I like is ceramic making. Each student will be given a chunk of red soil (terracota) and we can make more than one thing (depended on the material used). There will be staffs who will help us in moulding the terracota. Mould patterns are provided as well so we can choose what are we going to make, either a cup, mug, bowl with various ornaments. Free style is welcomed. I've seen a boy making his dragon without any means of help...woah awesome. Pottery is so much fun *grinning* However, we cannot bring home the ceramic that we make right away, since they need to do firing and colouring on it. So the ceramics will be ready within 2weeks (you can have it delivered to your address with extra charge for delivery fee or you can pick it up there).

Painting on t-shirts

The horse riding

They also have cooking class, making simple dishes that are loved by kids; such as sandwich or pie. If you are into sport, you can try out the outbound. Not feeling up to the mentioned activities, there is a large open area for the children to learn riding a horse, play bubbles or kites or simply running around. There is a small playground for your toddler too. Fancy some natural related activities, they offer ekowisata (eco-related activities) such as bush walking, camping, trekking, and enjoying waterfall. It happens that the waterfall is exactly the same with the waterfall @Sentul Paradise Park (air terjun Bidadari).

If you are hungry, no worry...they have Oey Kopitiam and another Sundanese resto (which is closed for renovation now). Beside it, they also have food court with various dishes, snacks and beverages to choose from. Currently, they are constructing an open theater and hopefully the hotel will be ready...soon? The guest houses are ready though.
Children playground

After playing and learning, bring your children to Alam Fantasy, across Taman Budaya. There are lots of mini rides that sure will thrill your children. However, please kindly check with them for the current updated price and enjoy :-)

    1. Hi Erlina,

I would say that this is another great place for children (rather than spend their weekend at malls he he he). I hope your children would love it too.

      Thank you for dropping by
      Cheers
