Top Secret Bride by Nina Bruhns

Top Secret Bride by Nina Bruhns

Awarded with Daphne du Maurier award, this e-book was pretty exhilarating and I enjoyed reading it on my tab. It is about SIS (Secret Intelligent Service of Britain, aka MI6 – remember mission impossible movies?) female agent, sexy but single Marina bond (yes, I noticed the name too he he) who was working undercover in Paris, at a high-end jewelry store. She was investigating the blood diamonds smuggle from South Africa, when she stumbled upon the info about someone who had been trying to eliminate the Lazlo group. Lazlo group was the most elite private investigation agencies which normally work together with SIS, whom the owner and founder (Corbett Lazlo) was Marina’s benefactor (he saved Marina in the past).

Feeling indebted, Marina was trying to tip off the news to Corbett thru his trusted right hand man, DeWitt von Kreus, who wasn’t only sexy and gorgeous but also a top notch agent. Sexual friction was sparked right from the first minute they met each other, along with the sniper’s gunning. Working together as pretended-lover, they were trying to bring down the smuggler and uncover the mastermind of the whole operation, with their lives as the stake.

Even though they were working perfectly on their undercover, however, Marina was fully aware of her occupation hazard and loved her job too much to be involved in steady relationship. DeWitt also had an unforgettable past which unconsciously built the wall between him and Marina. He couldn’t offer something more than being a lover, until Marina was captured and held being a hostage. How the thought of losing Marina changed DeWitt and how Marina could choose correctly this time? You better read it by yourself.
