L Hotel Nina Tower, HK

This is my first time staying at such a highrise hotel (our room was on 73rd floor) which we got the ear-ringing experience whenever we used the lift (felt like taking off or landing). The hotel was big and crowded (extremely crowded) but the customer service (either the reception or luggage service) was awesome. It’s fast and neat. Thumbs up for them (I felt hopeless for a moment when I saw the number of people queued up on the reception desk).

L hotel can be considered as the new one, located on the new territories of HK (5mins walk from west rail/purple line MTR exit Tsuen Wan West). The interior is modern minimalist with a bit touch of oriental culture here and there. It has 2 towers with a glass bridge connecting them (just like Petronas). I love the swimming pools, a rooftop big pool and a smaller indoor one (too bad, the big one was closed during our stay for maintenance). Not to mention a perfectly laid rooftop sundeck with stunning view of the nearby park and ferry port. The hotel itself is in adjacent to Nina Tower mall, which links toward several other malls. So shopping and stuffing your stomach wont be a problem at all.

The hotel room itself was clean and immaculate, with clear glass separating the bathroom. Well equipped just like other hotels. However, one drawback of the room is that the shower cubicle doesn’t have a split level. So once the shower was being used, the toilet (which is next to the shower) will be flooded phewww…

Yet we still enjoy our stay there   *grinning*

Disneyland...yay

Who would not want to go to Disneyland…regardless your age, you will find yourself being amazed and entertained here, either by the rides or the characters. For the first timer, you will need 2days pass to fully explore the park. Since this is our second time here, so we only bought 1day pass (since we already know which attractions that we wanted to ride and which one that can be skipped). Before that, a brief info on how to get here. Board on TCL (orange line) mtr and alighted on sunny bay station. Here, we will continue to the park using Disney mtr (pink line). Exit the mtr @disney station, you will find the park in front of the station and the coaches station at the back of the mtr station. You can use the free coach/bus to Disneyland Hotel or Hollywood Disney Hotel (5mins ride).
Inside the Disneyland MTR

The park opens at 10.30am (please check beforehand the maintenance schedule on the park on park.hongkongdisneyland.com) while the ticket booth opens at 9.00am (you can buy online too). Get yourself a copy of schedule (a complete list of timetable of the show and character greet-and-meet) as well as park map upon your arrival. Upon the opening, go straight to the mainstreet (behind mainstreet train station) if you wanted to have a picture with the famous couple of Mickey and Minnie (be fast or otherwise you will have to catch them separately in the garden around 12pm). Within 30minutes, the small parade and other characters such as Chip and Dale, Disney princesses (Belle, Aurora, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Cinderella) will be there around the castle. Around 11am, you can find Tinkerbell and the newest character of Toy Story ready for you (including Andy’s green toy soldiers). Around 12pm in the fantasy garden (near carousel) there will be Goofy, Pooh, Daisy and Donald duck, and many more waiting for you.

The girls with Mickey and Minnie

After taking lots of picture with the characters, do hop on Cinderella Carousel, Pooh ride and It’s a small small world, and get yourself a seat in Mickey Philharmagic 3D, the Stitch Encounter, Golden Mickey and the Festival of the Lion King shows. Those are our favourite, including Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster ride, Autopia, and Slinky Dog Spin. Have a big swing at Tarzan tree house and ride a jungle river cruise. Don’t forget the flight of fantasy parade of the whole Disney characters and make sure you catch the 8pm illuminating castle with awesome fireworks to close your day. Going to Disneyland isn’t complete without bringing home some goodies, so please stop by at some merchandise shops around the park (there are lots of them to choose).

Now I feel I wanna go there again   *grinning*

Our 2012 school holiday trip

Hi...It's me   *waving hands*

Hmmm...actually I'm pretty confused on what should i write here. My friends (especially my hubby) urged me to have a blog (they said since I like reading so much so I can write too...geez). I sincerely hope that I have this writing skill deep inside me...so I just need to push certain button to switch it on (let's hope that I pushed the correct button otherwise this blog will be history within a day of its creation). So here I am   *grinning*

While I'm still trying to figure out how to write and manage a blog...let me tell you bout our 2weeks holiday that ended a week ago. It was awesome...FUNtastic holiday. We went to Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, and Singapore. It wasn't our first trip to HK and Singapore, however it was our first to Macau and Shenzhen, not to mention that we went there by ourselves (no tour travel was involved).

It was all started when we (me and my hubby) were meeting up with old friends, back in 2011 and the idea to go on a trip together come up with HK as our destination. We quickly searched for LCC and booked the tickets, however coz one and another reasons, our friends couldn't join us for this trip (way too bad...well it's your loss he he he). Since we already had the tickets, we could only move forward with the plan.

We were leaving Jakarta on May 22nd using Jetstar to Singapore and after few hours of transit, we continued to HK. It was our first time using Jetstar and despite the loud noise produced during landing, I could say that we had a smooth and pretty cozy flight. Compared to other LCC, I love Jetstar' seat which is fit perfectly with my short figure and the bigger leg room. I thought they allow the guest to bring food as well (at least, i didn't hear the stewardess' announcement on the matter, unlike on AirAsia)

Resting during the transit @Changi
We arrived pretty late @HKIA but we were lucky since the hotel provides free shuttle bus with 15mins of interval. There are lots of hotels' free shuttle counters, located directly upon the exit (on the left and right sides of passage to MTR)...so check it out instead of paying a hefty sum for taxi.
Rooftop garden @Novotel

We stayed at Novotel Citygate, which is only 10mins ride from the HKIA. It is pretty close to Sunny bay mtr station (1station only) and in adjacent to Citygate outlet mall where you can find famous brands at discounted price. At HK, we went to Disney and Ngong Ping 360. Then we went to Macau and Shenzhen before coming back to Singapore.
