Happy Mother's Day

Hello…how have you guys been doing? It’s been quite a while since my last post…almost half a year gosh. I was too busy with this and that (nah…I don’t think you wanna hear bout my addiction to kdrama wkwkwk) and I didn’t have any feeling for blogging neither. But today was special…yep…today is the mother’s day. Though we didn’t have any special celebration however I was very happy and felt so blessed.

Spent a whole day on the beach on mother's day
As I am not a morning person while my girls are an early riser (nah…they are not that diligent…they just wanna catch their early anime on tv), I slept and was the last person who still on the bed at 8am (as a mom, I consider it as one of the lux…bet other moms out there know clearly what I mean).  My girls, knowing how bitchy I am when I lack of sleep, were tiptoeing all morning, afraid to accidentally wake me up on this special day. Sometimes I just forget how very considered they are and take everything for granted.

Having breakfast on the bed is also one of my privileges as my dear hubby prepared everything (thank you oppaaaaa ^^). Nothing special on the menu, but that porridge was one of my fav…yum yum. Especially when I had it while my girls were performing their piano playing as their present for today mother’s day…wah I felt so much loved. They played based on my request for a full hour, starting with My Grandfather’s Clock, Canon, and other fav pieces of mine including the old and beautiful song of Daisy Bell. Though there were slight mistake here and there (mind you – they played without practice first ha ha ha) but in my eyes and ears, it was a splendid and awesome performance. Bravo and thank you dear for such a lovely presents
Yep, just like Cain' puppy eyes (taken from Skipbeat manga)
Not only that, but my youngest with her puppy eyes, begged me to allow her to help me with the house’s chores (though I was pretty sure she preferred helping me rather than studying for tomorrow math final…phewww but I really couldn’t get angry with her). Especially when she started to rub her body onto mine in a kitten way (geez…is there any dummies available on how to persuade your mom – I gotta got a copy myself).  They really pampered me all day ha ha ha

I know…I complain a lot bout my girls…nag them all the time…yell and scold them on the other time but today I just felt so thankful for having them. Thank you dear for making me felt special and thank you for being my daughters

Happy mother’s day to every supermom out there *cheers*
Ehm girls...can I request a Pomp and Circumstances for the next year one *grinning*

Kuntum Nurseries - Bogor

Inside the park

Hello everyone…how are we doing in this lovely November? Us…we are preparing for the final semester exam (well – it’s my girls actually – I just cheer on them and prepare piles of practice papers to them to do ha ha ha). We are so looking forward to the year-end holiday – though we have no plan set for it until now except spending few nights after the exam out of town with family. But in case you are starting to wonder where to go for the December holiday…nothing far but yet perfect for family outing, perhaps you could consider Kuntum :-)

At the gallery

We came here a week ago when we intended to go to Puncak but the traffic was sooo terrible and I was sooo hungry at that time, so we enrouted to Bogor instead. We stopped at Kuntum Nurseries (at Jalan Raya Tajur No.291, Bogor) with big green eye-catching billboard on our right side of the road. Driving into the allocated parking lot, we didn’t expect the place to hold interest for us (well – it is a nursery – though I love flowers and all but I thought that was all). Stepping out from the car and taking the surrounding, I told my husband that we might need to find another place for weekend but we decided to lunch here (too hungry to be picky wkwkwk). Not much option were available for lunch either, since most of them offered similar dishes so we settled for the most corner stall – near the bakery corner, having Sundanese meals. The lunch was good with big portion and standard pricing (but the preparation took so long – or probably because I was too hungry so I felt I waited forever for the meals to come). If you fancy fishing, you could fish in the pond next to the food stall.

Finished our meals, we strolled around the nurseries and arrived at the open gallery. Here, they showcased variety of wooden furniture and knick knacks. But I love the building concept, open wooden building with less walls and fish ponds right outside the building. We took our time there just sitting on the porch, enjoying the view and the breeze. If feeding and watching fish is not your cup of tea then fish-spa might be something that you could try there. Further inside, we can enter into the recreational park by paying IDR25k per person and you can borrow the farmer straw hat for free (take it – I know it doesn’t go well with your style but it was hooot out there. For me…I took a selfie with the hat wkwkwk). The park is good (despite the sun) but they provide enough shelters here and there. There are lots of thing that can be done inside the park, from feeding the animals (sheep, cow, rabbit, dog prairie, goose, and many more – starting from IDR5k per packet of food), harvest fruit or veg (too bad – no fruit was available for harvest when we went there), or catching fish with hands (with IDR 100k, they will put around 20 small fish into the small pond for your kids to play catching fish). They also have other activities like pottery or planting, but these are reserved only for larger group of people

Felt like in Bali ^^
So...what do you think. Pretty interesting place isn't it? I would love to go there again (>,<)  Hope you enjoy the place as much as we did

Bye bye October and welcome November (>.<)

Yuhuuu everyone...It's almost November and we have been having such a great weather here...all cloudy and windy though the sun still shines sooo bright. I am always looking forward to this month...first because of its friendly weather and second (the most important one) that I have 3 important birthday bashes in this month ... yay   \(^.^)/   Ooopsss....just remember my losing weight program wkwkwk
My simple interpretation of Sugar Skull

Anyway, how was your Halloween day? What did you turn into for this Halloween day? Did you get lotsa treats? This year Halloween party at my girls' school was quite special. My youngest had her class dancing performance during the party and the homeroom teacher asked them to come to school with spooky make up and she informed me a day before (barely gave me time to prepare). First, let me make a disclaimer wkwkwk that I am not keen into make up and I only have basic make up stuff and tools however I was excited to draw something different than the normal and ordinary witches and dracula (oh please...we got lots of them every single year). And I have been enticed by La Muerte (Sugar Skull) after watching The Book of Life
My first sketch but her forehead was too small LOL

Being an amateur, I quickly shuffled those YouTube videos of make up tutorial but this one is what I like the most. It is simple and cool   :-)   Since I don't have a large number of make up colour variation and tools, so I simply settled with eye liner and eye shadow in black and orange colours (yes - I went to get the coloured eye liner at the nearest convenient store and they only had the orange one). And ta...da....she looked pretty ok wasn't she?

Happy Halloween-kend

My crafts in August

My rainbow charms

The one using clothes hanger

Hi everyone

Lately, I had plenty of me-time in between of dropping and picking up my girls from school. So I have been busy myself fiddling around my art and craft corner. Sometimes, I really had no idea what to make (yes – there are lots of ideas popping on Pinterest but my art supply wasn’t that complete huff. It’s time to visit some stores to stock up) but this month, I was quite fixated on holders and rainbow looms. My girls were having their first exam on this new term and I wondered myself, how they could study properly with so many stuff piled on their table. Rather than studying, I often caught them playing instead. So to ensure that they study without distraction, I just had to move those small toys and trinkets somewhere else. That aspired me to make a hanging holder to store all their knick-knacks and luckily – I got the right material to use \(> . <)/
The stackable one

Since I forgot to take pic during the process, so I made this illustration. I hope it helps  :-)

Beside the holders, I am quite addicted to rainbow loom. Yes, it has been around for few months already however, when the loom hit Jakarta for the first time, my girls weren’t that interested. They even didn’t want to wear the bracelet, saying that it wasn’t comfortable (itchy) to wear. But, lately, my girls talked about the loom again and again, kept telling me that her friends were wearing them and so on. So, I picked up those looms and started looming till my hands cramped. I don't take credit for the idea nor the design since i was very much copying from the tutorial *grinning* I love the tutorial on Panda Hall, the YouTube video of PaperPastel, Made By Mommy, and of course the tutorial video of Rainbow Loom. Now, every morning, my girls would choose which bracelet that they were going to wear for that day…ehm…should I make some more???
