Umalas Hotel and Residence - Bali

The lobby
Hello everyone. It's been quite sometimes hasn't it? This time, I wanna retell (I know - it is a late post) our experience staying at Umalas Hotel and Residence (I noticed there are bargaining on this hotel on the several discount voucher site online - why don't you check it out if you like what I present here). Umalas has several location in Bali, and we were staying on Umalas Hotel and Resort on Seminyak area.

The living room of our suite
The one we chose was the residence one (the apartment), since we were looking for a bigger place (enough for my girls to run around) but still reasonable in price. In fact, we got an amazing deal with this apartment (less than $ 70 per night - and of course, i bought it from my own travel booking website ha ha ha). The location was quite difficult to find (as it wasn't on the main street) but as long as you have GPS with you, you won't have any difficulty in getting there. Although the place is secluded, but staying on an apartment surrounded by paddy field was pretty awesome   :-)

The dining room - sorry for the mess
The first impression was that the apartment wasn't that big (from the parking lot and lobby). With standard looking lobby and a very standard coffee lounge next to it, we had clear unobstructed view to the swimming pool. At first, we were disappointed when we were directed to our ground floor room, however when we entered the room...wah it was spacious   :-)  It has a big living room with wide flat TV on it (not too mention a wall of mirror - can't help for being so vain wkwkw), and dining room with small kitchen next to it. Basic utensils for cooking your own meal were available, complete with the fridge and oven...perfect!

Master bedroom - king size
We chose the 2bedroom suite, one master bedroom with king size bed and another smaller bedroom with queen size bed. Both of the bedrooms were facing the pool however, all the windows and doors were locked (T_T). Another disappointment was the bathroom which was very small compared to the other room. We hardly had enough space to maneuver between the toilet and the bathtub...phewww. But again, we didn't let this small bathroom ruined our stay (beside, for my girls...they are happy as long as they can soak in a hot bathtub) ha ha...since this apartment offered much more. Such as the swimming pool which was quite big and well shaded from sunlight (absolutely perfect to take a dip even in during the daylight) and it looked romantic at night too.

Queen bedroom
But what we loved the most was the rooftop restaurant. The view was simply amazing! And they have this open space lounge where we could sit and unwind during our stay. Just sitting there...sipping the hot tea...watching the greenery around with soft breeze blowing your hair...a place where you could listen to the chirping birds (you could feed the birds as well) and hummed conversation of others...plus watch various winged insect flied around. The ball-shape lampions hang neatly on the rooftop lounge gave off the very romantic feeling in the evening...totally perfect   :-)

the bathroom
All in one...our stay here was memorable  :-)  Wish yours too... See you all on my next post...the girls just began their summer holiday so my next post will be about our summer holiday. Can't hardly wait for it   :-)  Have a fun summer \(>.<)/
