Synopsis
When unworldly
student Anastasia Steele first encountered the driven and dazzling young
entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both of
their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intriqued, and ultimately repelled by
Christian’s singular erotic tastes, Ana demands a deeper commitment. Determined
to keep her, Christian agrees.
Now, Ana and
Christian have it all – love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of
possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will
not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them
would anticipate. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle
without sacrificing her own identity. And Christian must overcome his
compulsion to control as he wrestles with the demons of a tormented past.
Just when it seems
that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and
fate conspire to make Ana’s deepest fears turn to reality.
I say…
Finally, the final
book of Fifty Shades (my hubby was pretty much relieved – seeing me finished
this book LoL. He often glanced worriedly to me when I was so engrossed in this
book). The intensity of the sexual activities are less than the previous books
but those still burn you inside out J Here, EL James more focuses on the root
problem between Grey and Ana, about their deepest fear of losing one of them,
about the uncertainty of the future, and about the dark shade that always
overshadowing their relationship.
Though Fifty Shades is completed now (wonder whether EL James would write the 4th book *crossing my fingers*) and yet you still haven't quenched your desire of this kind of genre fiction, no worry, as I see there are several titles released with a hint of BDSM too. You could check the Sylvia Day's Crossfire series (Bared to You - wait for my review soon and Reflected to you), Haven of Obedience, or The Diary of a Submissive, to name few of them. Even the old erotic fiction of Anna Rice's Sleeping Beauty and The Beauty's Punishment are being reprinted. It seems Fifty Shades has set a path which was no author in the past (only selected one) neither had courage nor knowledge to explore and write this kind of story. Again...bravo :-)
