Burgundy - Dine and Wine

Who loves betting? And who loves the upbeat song of What Makes You Beautiful? I do...I do. Even my girls Ŀ♡√Ɛ the song. So, what's the connection between betting and that song? When we were otw to Bdg last weekend, I made a bet with my hubby bout this song. He insisted that the singer/boysband is called Once Direction while we (me and the girls) said that it is One Direction and we showed him the proof. So, as the loser, he had to treat me to some fine dining resto уααу!ヽ(▽￣　)乂(　￣▽)ﾉ уααу!

Since we were otw to Maribaya, we stopped @Burgundy - Dine and Wine (phone 022 278 7125), at Jln Maribaya 163, Dago Giri, Lembang - Bandung. We had spotted this resto (actually only the banner) when the last time we stayed at Dago few months back and promised ourselves to give it try sometime...so there we were having lunch last weekend ┐('⌣'┐)...уєαн... уιρρєу!...(┌'⌣')┌

Burgundy is quite hard to reach, but if you are heading to Maribaya, it's on the same way. It's located next to Pramestha resort town estate, and around 5mins before Maribaya. With kept-turning and sometimes uneven road, we were almost change our mind for having lunch there. Even when we entered the Pramestha complex, we still had to go for another few kms ahead ‎​(>_<、) pheω...‎​(・ω・`メ)(-ω-｀メ). So we were pretty hungry when we finally saw the sign.

The place is big, with front terrace outdoor seatings called Village, indoor seating and several layered backyard outdoor called Plaza. The indoor itself has various types of seating, from Gamay room, Pinot Noir room, as well as 2meeting rooms, perfect for your private occassions. They also have Chardonnay bar stools and Terrace as their main dining area. Nestled on the hill, the view around the spot was astonishing. No wonder, they also cater pre-wed photoshoot and other social events as well.

My tired girls were so glad to have a fresh and cold breeze to wash her dizziness away. It was originally a house with opened floor-to-ceiling windows which was converted into a resto, so some of the seatings were placed in 'bedroom', living room and family room with fire-place. Awesome isn't it? You should see some of the antiques displayed as well :-) Beside the resto, they also offer one wooden cottage for rent. The rate will be 1.5mio for weekday and 1.7mio for weekend. But believe me, it is a great place to stay, with 2bedrooms, 1bathroom, 1living room and another kids bedroom at the attic...cool *grinning ear to ear* Too bad, they don't have kitchen nor any facilities to entertain the children except small playground in the front terrace of the resto, nor the pool. Otherwise, I would be tempted to spend a night there.

Burgundy Popping Splash

Colenak - Burgundy version

Choosing our seat on 2nd layer at the Plaza, we ordered Colenak for starter, Grilled Norwegian Salmon, and Thai Beef Lemon Grass. As for the drink, we chose some tea and Kiwi Flavour Burgandy Popping Splash which turned out to be so much fun (for our eyes and for our mouth too with its soda popping bubbles and fruity ice cubes). The menus are variative with a standard pricing as well (to my surprise 【ツ】ƗƗє²² ƗƗє²² ƗƗє²²【ツ】) And for wine or liquor fans, they do have fine selection here for you.

Thai Beef Lemon Grass

I don't really like lemon grass (due to its smell) however the thai beef that I had was perfect. There was only a hint of the lemon grass with small chopped bell peppers as topping. Served with seasoned rice, it was delicious yum...yum. My husband's choice of salmon was great as well. And the colenak brought a surprise to us, since it was served with vanilla ice cream and some strawberry cuts...definitely a fresh starter.

Cold breeze, awesome views, cozy place with relaxing atmosphere, great food with great prize...I couldn't ask for more :-)
