Maleficent movie

Image taken from www.imdb.com Who likes fairy tales? I believe almost all girls in this world do...just like me. I grew up with those happily ever after stories (probably there are some girls out there who are still waiting for their knight on a white horse...trust me...I knew the feeling *winking*). So I was quite familiar with princess Aurora's story. One among several well-known fairy tales which retells the story of a princess who was woken up by a prince's kiss from her eternal sleep. From the 'old version storybook', Maleficent was the bad witch which cursed Aurora. However, Maleficent offered another perspective...a very refreshing perspective if I may say so  We (me and the girls) was 5min late so when we reached our seats, the film had started. It told about the friendship of one of moor' fairy called Maleficent (stunning fairy with horns and big strong wings) and poor human called Stevan. Due to Stevan's ambition to be a king, he betrayed Maleficent by pulling off her wings, so that he could marry the princess. Feeling betrayed and hurt, Maleficent was engulfed in rage, hatred, and jealousy. She then cursed the newborn princess with eternal sleep that can only be awaken by a true love kiss (Maleficent didn't believe that true love exist). However, life was really unpredictable. Aurora who grew up under the care of 3 kind fairies far from the castle soon charmed Maleficent and Daival (a crow servant saved by Maleficent). Aurora believed that Maleficent was her fairy godmother and unexpectedly, Maleficent loved the cursed princess sincerely (well Maleficent was a good and kind fairy at first). Maleficent tried to cancel her curse however she couldn't. The story got more interesting when Aurora was having her 16th birthday. That day she found out that she was cursed by Maleficent and she returned home to the castle and finally got pricked by a needle (geez...fate or what they called as destiny was surely depicted horribly here...it showed that you couldn't do anything to change your destiny phewww whatta life). By whom princess Aurora was waken up? What happened between Maleficent and King Stevan? I will not spoil it for you *grinning* But this, an unordinary love story will leave a bitter sweet impression on you. Enjoy it (>.<)
