Chara Hotel - Bandung

The Lobby

Hello everyone…It is almost end of May already and for us, it means only a few days away from our holiday yay   \(>.<)/   <----- I wrote this few weeks ago and forgot to post it before our holiday wkwkwk

Love the playful colors
Talking about holiday, last weekend I just went to Bandung with some friends…yes…no oppa and the girls tagging along ha ha ha and we spent the night at a very unique hotel called Chara Hotel. Since I haven't been to backpacking, so this time, we'd decided to try a bed-n-breakfast but the 2 inns on our shortlist were fully booked due to last minutes booking hiks (T_T) and we finally settled for Chara since it was quite affordable

The wood panels furniture
The view from the bathroom
We checked in quite late that night, after spending the whole afternoon stuck in between the traffic and mall-hopping. It is easy to find with Google Map but the front façade scared me at the first sight…something tangled up covering the lower building just like a giant spider web. But…with the help of some light…it was a vertical garden with tangled vines covering the containers (well – it looked like a container). Nice touch

The corridor

Inside, the parking space was limited with much smaller lobby which I already expected (hey – it was a budget hotel). However, though it was small, the layout of the lobby was designed and dressed nicely. From the corridor, it looked like lot containers being stacked altogether up and down, and side by side. Minimalist with industrial design, the hotel plays with steel plates and wooden crates with splash of colors in the common room which gives a breather from the industrial look.

The containers style of rooms

Though it looked tough on the outside, the room was cozy with more natural color and minimalist design. The room size was standard with basic very amenities. No hair drier, SDB box, fridge, and coffee/tea maker in the room. However, despite the lack of those comforts, the room was nicely prepared with cute headboard on the bed. Me – myself, would likely find me coming back here – of course this time with the girls ^^
